About TransferPoints

An independent, ad-free reference for credit card transfer bonuses, built by people who move points for their own trips.

Who we are

TransferPoints is run by the TransferPoints Team, a small group of experienced travelers who have spent years earning and redeeming credit card points and airline miles. We are the same team behind FlightPoints, an award flight search tool. TransferPoints covers the step before the search: deciding which program your points should go to, and when.

We built it because transfer bonuses are short, unannounced, and spread across eight US bank programs. Checking them by hand is slow, and a transfer to the wrong program cannot be reversed.

What TransferPoints covers

  • Eight bank programs: American Express, Chase, Capital One, Citi, Bilt, Wells Fargo, Rove, and Taekus.
  • Airline and hotel transfer partners, with base ratios and typical transfer times for every route.
  • Active transfer bonuses on the bonus tracker, plus past bonuses for context.
  • Guides that explain when a transfer, or a bonus, is actually worth it.

Where our data comes from

  • Transfer partners and ratios are checked against the banks' and loyalty programs' own published terms.
  • Transfer bonuses are collected on a regular schedule from bank announcements and established points publications, and cross-checked across sources before they are listed.
  • Point valuations are estimates based on typical redemptions. They are a guide, never a guarantee.

Terms change often. Always confirm a bonus or ratio with your bank before you transfer.

How our guides are made

Our team researches and drafts guides with the help of AI tools, which speed up research and structuring. AI is never the author. Before a guide is published:

  • Every ratio, transfer time, and bonus is checked against official sources and our transfer data.
  • Time-sensitive facts carry an explicit date, so you know when they were last verified.
  • Bonus maths is recalculated, not copied.
  • Each guide must add something useful that other pages do not, such as a cross-bank comparison or a worked example.

Each guide ends with a short note explaining how it was made and when its facts were checked.

Independence

TransferPoints is free and shows no ads. We are not a bank, card issuer, or travel agency, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any bank, airline, or hotel program mentioned on this site. If we ever use referral links, we will label them clearly.
